New Functional Materials Laboratory<!-- 新機能性材料研究室-->

    Our Mission

    We investigate new functional materials and new devices with high performance, high efficiency, and high value-added, which we called High3(high cube). The High3 is our laboratory logo mark. We focus three currents such as electrical current, spin current, and thermal current in order to realize low-power-consumption spintronic devices and thermoelectric power generation as distributed power source.

  • Our proposal for JST Strategic Basic Research Programs ALCA-Next,
    "Emergence of highly efficient topological thermoelectric materials by high-throughput properties screening" (Grant No. JPMJAN24B3)
    (PI: T. Komine, Ibaraki Univ. collaborated with T. Chiba, Tohoku Univ. and Y. Hasegawa, Saitama Univ.),
    was adopted.(31 Aug., 2024).
